Support Our Schools was established in 2018 by Ariaratnam Kandeepan, together with a group of friends and family members who shared a common vision of supporting education, sports, and the overall development of schools and students. Since its inception, the initiative has grown into a vibrant community service network dedicated to assisting schools through educational projects, sports development programmes, resource mobilisation, and other activities that enhance learning opportunities for children and young people.
Support Our Schools is not a registered charity or a company. It operates as a community-based network that brings together volunteers, supporters, and well-wishers who are committed to improving educational outcomes and creating opportunities for students. The network works closely in collaboration with Aiyamiddun, a registered charity in Sri Lanka, to deliver projects and programmes that benefit schools, students, and local communities.
